Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) offers new modes and features through each of its major updates. Older updates in BGMI were successful with modes like the Zombies Edge mode and the winter themed mode named Frozen Kingdom. Following the same trend the latest major update 3.0 will have a new mode and several new features introduced.
When will BGMI New Update 3.0 be released?
According to leaks by a Youtuber named , the 3.0 update in BGMI can be expected to drop around 25th January 2024. The new 3.0 update will have new modes introduced like the Shadow Force mode which can be played in three maps, Erangel, Livik and Sanhok. For example, there will be three locations in Erangel, Georgopol, Yasnaya Polyana and Prison where you can play the Shadow Force mode. If players are eliminated in the Shadow Force mode locations, they will automatically respawn in the same location.

Shadow Force mode (available in Erangel, Livik and Sanhok maps).

Katana or Machete Sword (can be used to deflect enemy bullets).

Healing update (driver of the vehicle can use healing supplies while driving).

Increased Bullet penetration (if an enemy is standing behind another both of them will receive damage when bullets are fired at them).

Clone your character (Players can clone their own character through a grenade like object which will be available in-game to misguide enemies and catch them off guard).
One of the best features of the 3.0 update is the Recall island. Players who are eliminated in the first couple of minutes of the match will get spawned in the Recall island and will have to go in a location on the island and press a button to get respawned back into the match.
The release date of the new update has not yet been officially revealed but it can be expected that it will be introduced as soon as the current 2.9 update concludes.
