Possibility Space, a studio under Prytania Media, has been abruptly shut down. The news comes via social media posts by, now former, employees.
āI (and all my coworkers) just lost my job at Possibility Space,ā senior game designer Brendan McLeod said.
āMy company shuttered itās doors today and there are now a lot of amazing and skilled coworkers that are suddenly open to work today,ā live director Jennifer Lane posted online.
According to those whoāve spoken publicly, the closure comes without advanced notice.
Possibility Space was formed in 2021 by Jeff Strain, who also founded State of Decay developer Undead Labs. At the time, Strain said the company was working on a AAA game. That game, however, was never released let alone officially revealed.
This is the second studio closed in two months by Strainās Prytania Media. The company shut down Crop Circle Games, another subsidiary, in March.
The studio has yet to formally announce its closure despite posts from employees. Flizzyy has reached out for comment and will update should one be received.
Thereās no official word on the number of people impacted by the studio closure.
