Jonathan “Jonathan” Amaral is one of the most popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) athletes and a veteran of the game. He is known for his mechanical skills as well his movement techniques, making him one of the best BGMI players in India. He has represented India on the global stage several times and has also garnered appreciation from international esports athletes and fans.
Jonathan Gaming’s journey
Jonathan first came to light when his team Entity Gaming was crowned Players Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Club Open (PMCO) – Fall Spit: South Asia champion. After a few tournaments Entity joined hands with Team SoloMid (TSM) to form TSM Entity. Jonathan dominated several tournaments under the TSM Entity banner and one of his best performances came in the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 1 where he was the Most valuable Player (MVP) in week 3 as well as the overall season 1 MVP.
The TSM Entity squad then went on to win PUBG Mobile India Series (PMIS) 2020 in which Jonathan played a major role and was the overall MVP of the event.
After the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, the Indian version of the game was released named Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The TSM Entity squad was then taken over by Godlike Esports wherein Jonathan played his first ever BGMI tournament and again impressed everyone with his performance and was crowned MVP of the Skyesports Championship 3.0 BGMI event. After several major tournaments in the first half of 2022 BGMI was again banned.
After the unban of BGMI in May 2023, Jonathan played a couple of events but was not able to replicate his performance from previous years. He also missed a major part of Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 2023 due to health issues. His team was also not able to qualify for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 LAN event.
Jonathan is not only an esports athlete but also a streamer and influencer on social media. He live streams BGMI on his Youtube channel on a daily basis where he has accumulated over 5.53 million subscribers. He has also amassed a huge following on social media platforms like Instagram where he has over 2.6 million followers.
