After five weeks of intense competition, the top four Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region have finally arrived at the most anticipated event of the year – the 2023 MPL MENA Fall Split Playoffs. From 19th to 21st October, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host this three-day offline extravaganza, taking place at the impressive VOV Gaming, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian esports and gaming company Savvy Games Group, which is also serving as the Presenting Partner for this year’s Fall Split.
2023 MENA Fall Split Playoffs shall decide which team competes in M5 World Championship
The stakes are incredibly high in the 2023 MENA Fall Split Playoffs stage with a $100,000 USD (~SAR375,000) prize pool up for grabs, and an opportunity to represent the MENA region on the global stage at the M5 World Championship 2023. Another team will also secure a slot at the M5 Wild Card based on its performance during the Playoffs.
The top four teams have been seeded based on their final standings from the Regular Season and include Triple Esports, Okami eSports, Team Falcons, and Twisted Minds. Geekay Esports and Team Occupy, who had secured the 1st and 4th place in the Regular Season, unfortunately, won’t be participating due to travel permit issues and rulebook violations.
The Playoffs will employ a double elimination format with Best-of-Three (BO3) matches, except for the Lower Bracket Finals, which will feature a Best-of-Five (BO5) format, and the Grand Finals, which will culminate in a high-intensity Best-of-Seven (BO7) showdown.
The tournament kicks off with Triple Esports going up against Twisted Minds in the first match of the Upper Bracket Semifinal on 19th October, at 7:00 PM GMT+3. Triple Esports, Saudi Arabia’s champion, brings a formidable lineup with ex-WildAxe players, promising a thrilling performance. In contrast, Twisted Minds, making their debut in MPL MENA, aims to shock fans in the upcoming event.
In the second Upper Bracket Semifinal, Okami Esports, the runner-up of the 2023 MPL MENA Spring Split, will clash with Team Falcons, a renowned name in the MENA region. While Okami Esports are the favorites, Team Falcons’ rich history suggests a closely contested battle.
