BGIS 2023 Grand Finals Day 1 Recap: Overall Standings, Match Summary & More

Day 1 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 Grand Finals has concluded. Day 1 saw a good battle between the experienced and underdog teams as both put forth good performances.

Seasoned teams like Revenant Esports, Gods Reign and OR Esports were the most consistent, whereas Blind Esports and Medal Esports had an average outing. Some of the upcoming teams like Growing Strong and GlitchxReborn also put forth good performances.

BGIS 2023 Grand Finals Day 1 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel: Team X Spark secured the first chicken dinner of the Grand Finals with 25 points. Tushar ā€œDreamsā€ Jain was the star performer for them as he secured 6 solo finishes. Gods Reign was placed second with 22 points. Gladiator Esports showed good rotations and got 17 points. MICI Esports continued its momentum from the Semi Finals and was able to get 11 points. Revenant Esports and Blind Esports were eliminated early with 3 points each.

Match 2 Miramar: Midwave Esports grabbed the chicken dinner on the map of Miramar with 26 total points. Randeep ā€œAttankiā€ Bhullar was the star performer for them as he was able to secure 6 finishes. Revenant Esports was eliminated early in the last match but managed to grab the second spot with 18 points in this one. GlitchxReborn was able to secure 17 points. Gods Reign continued its momentum from the last match and got 12 points. MICI Esports and Big Brother Esports were eliminated in the initial stages without a single point.

Match 3 Sanhok: Growing Strong made a comeback in the third match of the day and secured a chicken dinner with 21 points. TWM Gaming was also able to make a comeback and secured the second spot with 18 points. OR Esports and Gladiator Esports placed third and fourth with 14 points each. Team X Spark and Medal Esports were eliminated with 3 points each.Ā 

Match 4 Vikendi: OR Esports continued its good run and was able to get the chicken dinner with 21 points. Although OR Esports secured the chicken dinner, Revenant Esports got the most points (24 points) from the match. Ritesh ā€œFierceā€ Nawandar from Revenant Esports showcased exceptional gameplay and got 7 finishes for himself. Big Brother Esports and GlitchxReborn secured 14 and 13 points respectively. Medal Esports and Blind Esports were eliminated with zero points.Ā 

Match 5 Miramar: Revenant Esports secured its first chicken dinner of the Grand Finals with 26 points. Big Brother Esports continued its momentum from the last game and secured 19 points. Blind Esports was able to make a comeback and got 13 points 12 of which came through placement points. TWM Gaming and MICI Esports also put forth a good performance and got 12 and 11 points respectively.Ā 

Match 6 Erangel: Gods Reign secured the chicken dinner in the last match of Day 1. It was able to secure a massive 31 point chicken dinner. Shubham ā€œNinjaJodā€ Sahoo and Hamza ā€œBlazeā€ Hyderabadwala were the star performers for Gods Reign as both of them secured 8 and 5 finishes respectively. CS Esports and Night Owls made a comeback in the last match of the day and secured 15 and 11 points respectively. Revenant Esports and Gladiator Esports were eliminated early with 1 point each.

As expected most of the seasoned teams dominated Day 1 of BGIS 2023. Fans are hoping that upcoming teams make a comeback on Day 2 by showcasing their skills and abilities to contest the experienced teams.
