BGIS 2023 Grand Finals Day 2 Recap: Overall Standings, Match Summary & More

Day 2 of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGIS) 2023 saw some of the underdog teams make a comeback. Teams like Big Brother Esports, MICI Esports, TWM Gaming and GlitchxReborn were able to put forth good fights and showed consistent performances.

Some of the seasoned teams like Team X Spark, Blind Esports, Gods Reign and Gladiator Esports continued their momentum from Day 1 and dominated Day 2. Few experienced teams like OR Esports and Medal Esports had below average performances.

BGIS 2023 Grand Finals Day 2 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel: Team X Spark secured its second chicken dinner of the Grand Finals with 22 points. Blind Esports had a good balance of finish and placement points with 16 total points. 4 Aggressive Man and CSxOne Power were able to make a comeback and grab 15 and 14 points respectively. OR Esports did not have a good start to the day as it was eliminated early with zero points.

Match 2 Miramar: TWM Gaming secured the chicken dinner on the map of Miramar with 24 total points. Medal Esports placed second with 24 points including 12 finish points. Ankit “Topdawg” Mehra from Medal Esports was the top performer in the match as he secured 7 finishes. Blind Esports continued its momentum and was able to grab 15 points. Gods Reign placed fourth with 14 points. Revenant Esports and Gladiator Esports also had a good match and secured 10 points each. OR Esports had back to back failures and was again eliminated without scoring any points.

Match 3 Sanhok: After consistent performances in the last couple of matches Blind Esports finally grabbed its first chicken dinner with 22 points. 4 Aggressive Man placed second with 21 points. GlitchxReborn showed good teamwork and received 18 points. Gladiator Esports was able to grab 17 points 11 of which came from finishes. Medal Esports and OR Esports were eliminated in the initial stages without securing a single point.

Match 4 Vikendi:  Midwave Esports became the second team to secure two chicken dinners in the Grand Finals. It was able to do so with 27 total points including 12 finish points. TWM Gaming continued its good run and grabbed 18 points. Big Brother Esports and OR Esports placed third and fourth securing 17 and 16 points respectively. Medal Esports and Gods Reign were eliminated with 2 points each. 

Match 5 Miramar: Big Brother Esports secured a 26 point chicken dinner. Saif from Big Brother Esports was the star performer as he took 5 finishes. Gladiator Esports placed second and got 22 points. Team X Spark had a good match again and grabbed 14 points. MICI Esports and Blind Esports were able to get 10 points each. Revenant Esports and Growing Strong were eliminated with 2 points each. 

Match 6 Erangel: Big Brother Esports became the first team to secure back to back chicken dinners in the Grand Finals. It did so with a massive 28 points including 13 finish points. Uzumaki from Big Brother Esports was the star performer as he secured 6 solo finishes. Gladiator Esports placed second grabbed 24 total points with 12 finish points. OR Esports and Medal Esports had a good match and scored 13 and 12 points respectively.

So far, the seasoned squads have dominated Days 1 and 2 of BGIS 2023. Some upcoming teams such as Big Brother Esports, MICI Esports, TWM Gaming and GlitchxReborn have made a spectacular comeback and are expected to do well on Day 3.
