Day 1 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 The Grind Week 2 Groups 15 and 16 concluded with upcoming teams dominating the event. Underdog teams like Game HUB Esports, GlitchxReborn and Global Esports dominated Group 15 along with ESCN Esports and Team Psyche from Group 16. 

The event will see 256 teams competing for a spot in the BGIS 2024 main event.

BGIS 2024 The Grind Week 2 Day 1 Groups 15 and 16 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel: Game HUB Esports secured a 21 point chicken dinner. Ryzee from Game HUB Esports was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 5 finishes. GlitchxReborn placed second and secured 14 points. Tribal Esports placed third, it showed aggressive gameplay and got 12 points. Real Esports placed fourth and got 10 points. 4Ever Esports placed fifth and got 9 points. BurnX Officials and Team VST were eliminated without any points.

Match 2 Miramar: GlitchxReborn secured a massive chicken dinner with 28 points. Joyesh from GlitchxReborn was the MVP of the match with 7 finishes. WSB Gaming placed second and got 16 points, 10 of which came via finishes. Real Esports placed third and got 11 points. Game HUB Esports and Team VST placed fourth and fifth and got 9 and 8 points respectively. Flex Official and Tribal Esports were eliminated in the initial stages with 1 point each.

Match 3 Sanhok: MidWave Esports secured a 20 point chicken dinner. Poloring from MidWave Esports was the MVP of the match with 8 finishes. Global Esports placed second and got 14 points. Alibaba Raiders placed third and got 12 points. Game HUB Esports placed fourth and scored 11 points. Heartbreakers placed fifth and got 9 points. GlitchxReborn and 4Ever Esports were eliminated in the early stages with just a single point.

Match 1 Erangel: Team Psyche secured a 25 point chicken dinner. Striker from Team Psyche was the MVP of the match with 5 finishes. Team UNSB placed second and got 12 points, 8 of which came via finishes. Aerobotz Esports and Forca Officials placed third and fourth and secured 10 points each. Evolution Mizoram placed fifth and got 8 points. Silly Esports and Flame Esports were eliminated early without any points.

Match 2 Miramar: Ghuso Esports secured a 24 point chicken dinner. ESCN Esports placed second and got 12 points, 7 of which came via finishes. Ashish from Ghuso Esports was the MVP of the match with 8 finishes. Team Psyche and Silly Esports placed third and fourth and secured 10 points each. Team UNSB placed fifth and got 8 points. Flame Esports and TMC Esports were eliminated early without scoring any points.

Match 3 Sanhok: ESCN Esports secured a 20 point chicken dinner. Gujarat Tigers placed second and got 16 points. Deepanshu “Wixxky” Yadav from Gujarat Tigers was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Rising Falcon placed third and got 15 points, 10 of which came via finishes. Forca Esports and Silly Esports placed fourth and fifth and got 7 points each. Hail India was eliminated early with just a single point.

Day 1 of the event was dominated by upcoming teams like Game HUB Esports, Global Esports and GlitchxReborn along with other squad like WSB Gaming and Hydra Official. A few teams like Team Fuze, Flame Esports and Team White Shadow were unable to put forth consistent performances and placed in the bottom of the points table with single digit points.
