Day 1 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 has concluded with Hydra Esports, Team Soul, UP50 and 7 Shore emerging as the most dominant teams. Some of the experienced teams like Team X Spark, Entity, Big Brother Esports and Reckoning Esports also put forth good fights.
Hydra Esports grabbed a chicken dinner with 38 overall points and is placed at the top of the table. Team Soul placed second with 36 points and a chicken dinner. UP50 and 7 Shore placed third and fourth respectively with 35 points each. Team X Spark placed fifth with one chicken dinner and 27 total points.
BMPS 2023 Day 1 Blue Group Match Summary
Match 1 Erangel (Group 1 vs Group 2): Team Soul secured the first chicken dinner of the event with 23 points. Akshat “Akshat” Goel and Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal clutched a 2v4 in the last circle against Road To Glory (RTG) to secure the chicken dinner. RTG, Big Brother Esports and Entity put forth great performances and scored 17 points each. 4TR and Team Empire were eliminated early without scoring any points.
Match 2 Miramar (Group 5 vs Group 6): The upcoming squad of UP50 secured a 19 point chicken dinner on the map of Miramar. Although UP50 secured the chicken dinner, GenxFM and BloodRose scored more points, 23 and 22 respectively. Insidious from GenxFM was the star performer as he secured 7 solo finishes. 7 Shore also had a good game as it secured 17 points. Medal Esports started its day on a good note and scored 15 points.
Match 3 Sanhok (Group 2 vs Group 5): Reckoning Esports showed good rotations and secured a 24 point chicken dinner. 7 Shore had back to back good matches and secured 18 points from the match. AutoBotz Esports was able to grab 17 points for its team effort. Team Soul continued its momentum from match one and scored 13 points. RTG and GenxFM were eliminated early with zero points.
Match 4 Vikendi (Group 1 vs Group 3): Hydra Esports grabbed its first chicken dinner with a massive 29 points including 14 finish points. Starboy and Duora op were the star performers for Hydra Esports as they secured 5 and 4 finishes respectively. Claw was placed second with 15 points. FFE and ORB were placed third and fourth respectively with 12 points each. Team X Spark and WSB Gaming were eliminated in the early stages with 4 points each.
Match 5 Erangel (Group 3 vs Group 6): Team X Spark secured the chicken dinner in the last match of the day with 23 points. Team TMZ and UP50 were placed second and third with 16 points each. FLY showed good teamwork and was placed fourth with 12 points. ORB placed fifth and secured 11 points. Claw and V9 were eliminated in the initial phases without scoring any points.
Experienced teams like Team Soul, Team X Spark and Entity dominated Day 1 of the event whereas upcoming teams like UP50, 7 Shore, and Hydra Esports also put forth great fights and dominated the Blue Group.
