Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 is ongoing and has provided fans with some action packed matches. The tournament’s league stage started on a good note but after the league stages’ conclusion many teams and players were accused of using unethical means to succeed.
Hackers have been a common occurrence in BGMI, especially in classic mode matches. There have been instances in the past where many players, esports athletes and content creators have been caught hacking and using unethical means to gain an unfair advantage. Krafton has taken severe steps and banned such players from playing BGMI.
Goldy talks about hackers in BMPS 2023
Hackers have been a big issue in BGMI and have also been an issue in official tournaments. Many talented teams and players have suffered in official tournaments and their opportunities to advance have been taken away as they were eliminated by cheaters. The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 was one such example where Krafton banned many teams for breaking rules and regulations or using unethical means in the qualifying rounds.
In a recent Lokesh “Goldy” Jain was asked by one of the viewers about why there has been no action on a player whose account has been banned for cheating. Goldy responded by saying that, “Everyone used to say to me that no one raises their voice for such things but I and Scout were the first ones to talk about this issue when Snehil (Youtuber who exposes teams and players for cheating) uploaded his video of a player cheating in BGIS 2023. This time also in BMPS 2023 me and Snax have clearly talked about this issue on our livestreams. We have also taken names of the teams and players who were suspicious. Now everything is in the hands of Krafton. There are many teams and players whose opportunity has been wasted due to other teams that have been cheating.”
Adding to this he also said, “Everyone wants to promote Undergods [name given to upcoming teams], that’s why there is no action.”
Raj “Snax” Varma also said that, “All the players getting banned and caught for cheating are the upcoming new players and it does not happen to seasoned players.”
Krafton has not provided any updates on teams that have been allegedly cheating or using unethical means to achieve success in BMPS 2023. Fans are hoping everything will be sorted out before the BMPS 2023 Grand Finals, so that the event will take place smoothly without any further controversies.
