BMPS 2023 Week 2 Day 1: Overall Standings, Match Summary and More

Week 2 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 has started with the Blue and Red groups being reshuffled. Day 1 of Week 2 was dominated by upcoming teams like Team Genesis, Team Together Esports (TTE) and Third World Mafia (TWM). 

Team Genesis is placed at the top of the table with 51 points including 30 placement points. TTE placed second with 39 points and a chicken dinner. TWM placed third with 36 points and a chicken dinner. AutoBotz and Hydra Esports placed fourth and fifth with 30 and 29 points respectively.

BMPS 2023 Week 2 Day 1 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel (Group 2 vs Group 4): TWM secured a massive 28 point chicken dinner including 13 finish points. Lobster was the star performer from TWM as he secured 6 solo finishes. Global Esports showed aggressive gameplay and grabbed 22 points 16 of which came via finishes. Harshit “Beast” Yadav and Ninjaboi from Global Esports were the Most Valuable Players (MVP) as both of them secured 7 finishes each. Team Genesis made a comeback and got 18 points. TTE continued its good run from Week 1 and got 12 points.

Match 2 Miramar (Group 1 vs Group 4): TTE secured a 23 point chicken dinner on the map of Miramar. Enigma Gaming closely followed them with 22 points including 10 finish points. Team Empire started Week 2 on a good note and secured 15 points. Galaxy Esports and Team Genesis got 14 points each for their team effort. MYM and MidWave Esports were eliminated early with 1 point each.  

Match 3 Sanhok (Group 3 vs Group 4): Revenant Esports grabbed its first chicken dinner of BMPS 2023 with 27 points. Ritesh “Fierce” Nawandar was the MVP of the match with 5 solo finishes. Genesis Esports continued its momentum and got 19 points. MidWave Esports made a comeback and scored 18 points. Hindustan Gaming and Metal Wings placed fourth and fifth earning 12 and 11 points respectively. Team Ten and MG Esports were eliminated in the initial phases without scoring any points.

Match 4 Vikendi (Group 2 vs Group 6): Hydra Esports started their Week 2 journey with a 26 point chicken dinner. Sparshop from Hydra Esports was the MVP of the match with 7 finishes. Blind Esports showed good rotations and got 21 points. Team THW and UP50 scored 11 and 10 points respectively. 7 Shore and Global Esports were eliminated in the early stages with zero points. 

Match 5 Erangel (Group 1 vs Group 5): AutoBotz secured the chicken dinner in the last match of the day with 27 points. Rico from AutoBotz was the MVP of the match with 7 solo finishes. Marcos Gaming made a comeback to grab 18 points. Growing Strong, Team ECE and Road To Glory (RTG) secured 14 points each. LiveCraft and OnePowerxHighVoltage (OPxHV) were eliminated with just a single point each.

Upcoming teams have shown their dominance on Day 1 of Week 2 with teams like TTE, Team Genesis and TWM countering seasoned teams strategies. Some of the teams like MYM and Team MG have single digit points in 3 matches and will look to grab as many points as possible in the remaining 2 matches of the week.
