Revenant Esports is one of the well known Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) teams in India. The organization entered the BGMI scene in 2021 and has been around for more than two years but it is yet to show its full potential.
As of 21st December 2023, Revenant Esports is placed at the 5th spot in the . Although the squad is placed in the top 5 it has performed inconsistently throughout 2023 but it has shown glimpses of brilliance in some of the events.
The AFK Gaming BGMI Team Rankings provide an overall outcome of the team’s performance, but let’s look at how the team has performed throughout each month, since the game was unbanned in May.
Revenant Esports’ journey in 2023
The Revenant Esports’ BGMI squad is one of the top teams in India. It has been able to put forth consistent performances in some of the third party events as well as official events. Its best performance was in the Skyesports Championship 5.0 LAN Grand Finals.

Simp is one of the latest additions to the Revenant Esports’ BGMI roster. He was added just before the start of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 to strengthen the team’s fire power.
The month of june was the first month after the game was unbanned and was filled with multiple third party tournaments. It was not the best for Revenant Esports as it placed below the top 10 in multiple tournaments.
In the first couple of tournaments it displayed inconsistent gameplay and placed 11th in Nodwin Gaming’s BGMI Pro Scrims tournament and 15th in the Villager Esports DOMIN8R Series event.
The month ended with the Skyesports Champions Series where Revenant Esports was able to improve its performance but it wasn’t enough as it placed 8th in the event.
For the month of June, Revenant Esports was placed at the 20th spot with a score of 0.30 in the for its performance in the third party events.
The month of July was yet another month filled with several third party BGMI events. Revenant Esports showed significant improvements in July with multiple podium finishes.
The Nodwin BGMI Champions Cup was played in the first week of July. Revenant Esports showed an improvement in its performance and placed 2nd in the event. It also played the Villager Esports Pro Invitational 2023 simultaneously and continued its momentum to grab the 3rd spot in the tournament.
Revenant Esports’ performance dipped in the last couple of tournaments of the month as it placed 7th and 9th in the Revenant Invitational Showdown and India Today League Invitationals respectively.
Due to Revenant Esports’ performance in the first few tournaments, it jumped 14 ranks and was placed 6th with a score of 9.90.
The month of August had only two tournaments take place, which were some the biggest given their prize pool.
Revenant Esports first played the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 The Grind, which was the qualifying tournament for the BGIS 2023 main event. It had a good performance and placed 34th from among the 256 participants in the event. The team missed the qualification for Round 3 but secured a place in Round 2 of BGIS 2023.
The second event for August was BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 2023 and Revenant Esports could not put forth consistent performances in the event and was eliminated in the initial stages.
Due to its below average performance in one of the events it slipped 3 ranks and was placed 9th with a score of 9.90 in the month of August.
September was a month which had only two third party events and not much else.
Revenant Esports played the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 and the OS Invitational Season 1 and had a poor showing as it placed 8th and 19th respectively.
Its performance in these events did not affect its rank on the leaderboards and it retained the 9th rank with a score of 9.90 for the month of September.
Revenant Esports played two of the most important events of 2023 in the month of October. It was also able to put forth good performances in both of the events and climb the BGMI team rankings.
Revenant Esports played the BGIS 2023 Grand Finals LAN event and performed admirably to grab the 7th spot in the event. It also played the India vs Korea Invitational event and showed aggressive gameplay against Korean teams to secure the 5th spot in the event.
Although Revenant Esports performed consistently in both the official BGMI events, it was able to climb only 2 ranks as other teams had performed better and crossed it in the rankings to grab the top spots. It was placed 7th with a score of 22.30 for the month of October.
Revenant Esports continued its good run in the month of November as it grabbed a podium finish in one of the tournaments.
The Skyesports Championship 5.0 event was one of the major events of November as it boasted a massive prize pool. Revenant Esports continued its momentum from the last couple of events and secured the 2nd spot in this event. It also played the Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle but its performance was not convincing as it placed 11th.
Due to its podium finish in the Skyesports Championship 5.0 event it moved up 2 ranks in the leaderboards and was placed 5th with a score of 48.78 for the month of November.
The month of December had only one tournament, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 LAN Grand Finals.
Revenant Esports had inconsistent performances throughout the league stages and the LAN Grand Finals of BMPS 2023, but the team performed brilliantly in some of the matches due to which it was able to secure the 8th spot in the event.
Although it had inconsistent performances in the BMPS 2023 event it still had a good placement which meant it retained its 5th spot with a score of 51.64 for the month of December.
Revenant Esports was inconsistent in the initial tournaments of 2023 but gained momentum as the year went on. It is still placed in the top 5 of the AFK Gaming BGMI Team Rankings due to its performance in the official events and some of the third party events which had massive prize pools. The only major event where Revenant Esports could not qualify was the BGMS Season 2 2023 but overall it had a decent year in terms of performance.
